Forum Rules

As every forum needs rules (well, MOST of them need rules...), it's a good idea to stick up some basic guidelines here for people to read. If it's not on here and it's something you think you shouldn't do... don't do it!

1) Please keep swearing and vulgarity to a minium. There's a swear filter in place, and it's there for a reason. Bypassing the filter will result in warnings and suspension in repeat instances. Also covered by this is no posting of pornography - there's a time and a place for it, and it isn't here ;)

2) No posting on how to obtain illegal materials - pirated software being cheif among these. The society does not condone software piracy in any way, shape, or form, and we won't have it on our forums.

3) Please don't treat us as your own version of wikipedia. If you've got a question you want answered, google it first. If you can't find anyhting usefull on the net of inter, then by all means ask here in the forums. Likewise, if there's a topic you don't understand (cryptography, file transfers, linux commands, etc) then by all means discuss it. Just search first!

Once again, use your common sense. This thread isn't intended to be a cover-all list of do's and dont's, and it shouldn't have to be.

Reason: Making it so we have more than one rule!
